    Gene has been involved in astrophotography for over 25 years. He first started when film was used. Photographing Comet Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake was the beginning of his imaging days back in 1996. Gene is involved across the US in astrophotography outreach and has been a speaker at many prominent star parties.
